Deep Water Pier & Port Facilities

Situated between Hunterston Terminal to the south and Greenock Ocean Terminal to the north, and adjacent to the tourist town of Largs, Fairlie Quay is one of the most accessible and versatile ports on the Scottish west coast. Accepting vessels up to 160 metres in length on its deep-water berth.

Fairlie Quay offers direct road and rail links to central Glasgow.  Also both Glasgow and Prestwick International airports, the backdrop of Kelburn County Park and Largs Golf Course to the east. Isle of Arran to the south and the Cowal Peninsula to the north, Fairlie Quay is one of Scotland’s most picturesque port locations and is therefore ideal for visiting cruise ships and superyachts.

Fairlie Quay is International Ship & Port Facility Security compliant with 24-hour CCTV and security. It has an 80 ton boat hoist, 30 ton mobile crane, tele-handler, fork lift and tractor available on request.  Our on-site marine service companies specialise in all aspects of the repair and maintenance of vessels and our pier is suitable for bunkering, HGV and mobile crane access.

The versatility of the quay is epitomised by the continued use as a training site for underwater ROV’s, a mobilisation and demobilisation site for many Offshore Support Vessels, and a cruise call for ‘boutique’ cruise ships and superyachts.

The area around Fairlie Quay has been developed into a marine industrial park with over 5,600m² of undercover storage. Large clean external storage areas of which 11,250m² is concrete hard standing and over 14,000m² of gravel area.
